Eligibility & Enrollment Criteria

• You must be an undergraduate student working toward a bachelor’s degree at UW Bothell Seattle or Tacoma.
• You don’t need to already be doing research with a faculty member to apply.
• You can apply in Autumn Quarter even if you’re not taking a full-time class load at that time.
• You can apply to multiple scholarships, but receive funding for only one per quarter.
• You can only have one Mary Gates scholarship at a time.

Enrollment Requirements

• You must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits) during the quarters you get the scholarship money.
• You must keep working on your research project during the entire award period.
• Exception for Summer Quarter: you only need 1 credit if Summer is one of your award quarters.

Award Expectations
