Applications for the Oscar Sárkány Fellowship 2025/26 Grant are open now. This new european program support humanities and social sciences researchers. It is a joint effort by CEU Institute for Advanced Study (IAS CEU) the Paris Institute for Advanced Study (IEA) and the French Research Center in Humanities and Social Sciences (CEFRES). The fellowship fosters academic collaboration between Budapest and Paris while funding important research in several key areas. It is named after Oszkár Sárkány a Hungarian cultural historian and political dissident who died during WWII.

Eligibility Criteria
This fellowship is for two groups of researchers:
1. IAS CEU Fellows (Going from Budapest to Paris)
- Must be current or future Fellows at CEU Institute for Advanced Study in 2025 or 2026.
- Must plan a one-month research stay at the Paris Institute for Advanced Study.
2. CNRS SHS Researchers (Going from France to Budapest)
- CNRS permanent researchers (Social Sciences/Humanities, France).
- Must plan 15-day Budapest research stay at IAS CEU.
