- Applicants are eligible from these Mitacs partner countries:

- the United Kingdom,

- Ukraine,

- Thailand,
- Colombia,

- Hong Kong

- Must not have done this internship before.
- Apply to 3-10 projects across 3+ Canadian provinces.
- Must meet the GPA requirements set for your country.
- Must be a full-time student in an eligible undergrad or combined undergrad/master’s program.
- Must be available for the full time between May 1 and October 31 with a start date no later than July 31.
- Cannot be linked to or funded by certain institutions if working on sensitive tech research.
- Must be at least 18 years old when applying.
- Should have one to three semesters left in studies by Fall 2026.
- Must be fluent in one of these languages (English or French).
- Mitacs can check application details and reject projects with sensitive research or affiliations.
- Must have finished at least two years of study
- If not, then must be in the second year of their current program.
