The CATS Fellowship 2026 are now available. This fellowship is a fully funded research opportunity in Berlin, Germany for international researchers and professionals who work on Turkey-related issues. You can stay for 6 to 12 months starting from September 2026 and do independent research while getting a monthly stipend travel support, accommodation help and extra money if you bring children. The program is run by the Centre for Applied Turkey Studies at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. What is the CATS Fellowship 2026?

The Centre for Applied Turkey Studies (CATS) offers this fellowship to help researchers study Turkey in a European and global context. You live in Berlin and work on your own research project. You join discussions, workshops and events with experts and policymakers. The goal is to create useful research that helps understand Turkey EU relations and important policy issues. It is a good chance to build your network and publish papers or policy briefs.
