ASF-RMIT Architecture Fellowship 2025/26 (Fully Funded)

Applications for the ASF-RMIT Architecture Fellowship are now available. The Alastair Swayn Foundation and RMIT Architecture are working together with the American Academy in Rome to find people for a special fellowship in 2025/26. This is for Australian architects or designers who are starting or in the middle of their careers. The fellowship lasts eight weeks and lets them live in Rome to work on their projects and meet others. They can join events like talks tours and visits to places in Rome. The person chosen should be very good at their job and need this chance to grow in their career. After finishing they have to give a talk in Australia about their work.

Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply

  • Only single people can apply (no groups or companies)

  • If you got a grant from ASF before and didn’t finish the requirements
  • Companies or organizations cannot apply
  • If you owe money to ASF or RMIT

Selection Process

  • A jury will be chosen by RMIT Architecture to review the applications.
  • The jury will make final recommendations to the ASF Board for approval.
  • Shortlisted applicants might be called for an interview.
  • Successful applicants will be informed about the result in April 2025.

  • Share 5 pages max (A4 PDF) of your past projects
  • Built or design ideas are okay

  • Give a 2-page CV or bio (A4)
  • List 3 people who can vouch for you
  • Include their names emails and phone numbers
