Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship Requirement:

  • You must be a citizen of one of these eligible countries:
    • Azerbaijan,
    • Bhutan,
    • Comoros,
    • Fiji,
    • Djibouti,
    • Kiribati,
    • Kazakhstan,
    • Liberia,
    • Mauritania,
    • Palau,
    • Micronesia,
    • Tonga,
    • Uzbekistan,
    • Turkmenistan,
    • or Vanuatu.
    • Palestinians from the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem are also eligible.
  • You must not be a Canadian citizen.
  • You must not hold Canadian permanent residency.
  • You must not have a pending application for permanent residency in Canada.
  • You must have the needed English or French skill to study in the teaching language at the Canadian school.
  • You must apply and get accepted into a full time academic program at a Canadian college or university.
  • You must clearly show your interest in being considered for the Study in Canada Scholarships program when you apply for admission.
