The DGIST Undergraduate Research Internship 2026 is a fully funded six-week summer program at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea for international undergraduate students in their 3rd or 4th year. You work on real research projects in labs get up to KRW 1,560,000 support for scholarship dorm and daily allowance plus cultural activities and a certificate. About the DGIST Undergraduate Research Internship

DGIST is a strong science and tech school in Daegu, South Korea. The internship lets undergrad students join graduate labs and do real research. You work with professors on projects in science, engineering, AI, biotech and more. You learn lab skills, meet other students and see Korean culture. It gives you experience for future Master’s or PhD. You also get cultural classes one-day industry tour and certificate at the end.

Eligibility Criteria

This is for students from all over the world who are studying in college.

You can apply if:

  • Your grades are good. You need around 75% marks or a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
  • You are in your 3rd or 4th year of bachelor’s degree. This means you have finished at least 2 years (4 semesters) of college.
  • After the internship, you will go back to your college and study for at least one more term (semester).
  • One of your teachers or college advisors should write a letter saying you are a good student.
  • You can speak and understand English well. You don’t need to take an English test like IELTS or TOEFL.
