France has opened applications for the France Excellence–DOST Scholarship 2026. This fully funded program is for students who want to study Master or PhD degrees in natural sciences at French public universities. The scholarship is managed by the Embassy of France with the Philippines, Department of Science and Technology DOST SEI. It pays for tuition, health insurance, visa costs, cultural activities and gives a monthly allowance plus flight support. The program is only for recognized French public institutions and focuses on science and research. The deadline to apply is 17 March 2026.

About the Scholarship
This scholarship started in 2016 as PhilFrance-DOST to mark 70 years of France-Philippines ties. Now called France Excellence–DOST it helps build science leaders. You study at public French schools for national diploma. Focus on natural sciences like biology, physics, chemistry, environment and health. You must return to Philippines after and work in your field twice the study time. It helps France-Philippines research links.

Scholarship Benefits
Split between France and DOST-SEI.
- From France:
- No CVEC fee.
- Tuition pay up to EUR 3,879 a year (Master’s) or EUR 391 (PhD).
- Discount culture events.
- Full social security and extra insurance.
- No long-stay visa fee (but service fee yes).
- From DOST-SEI:
- Monthly stipend by DOST rules.
- Round-trip flight from Manila. No free housing anymore from 2025 so find your own.
Programs Not Covered
Please note that the France Excellence programs do not cover the following
- Studies from non French schools located in France
- Programs at international or overseas campuses of French institutions
- Joint double or dual degree programs including Erasmus Mundus
- Vocational, technical or short professional courses like culinary arts, fashion training etc.
Eligibility Criteria
You must:
- Be Filipino and live in Philippines.
- Get unconditional offer from French public school for natural science program.
- Show strong grades and research skill.
- Need money to study in France.
- Have own funds for travel to UK no wait to France. No dual degrees or short courses.

- Re-entry plan (how you help Philippines after).
- NBI clearance birth certificate medical.
- Two recommendation letters.
- Employer leave if working.
- Admission offer from French school.
- Proof of financial need.
