Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the HSP 2026, you must:
- Be a Singapore Citizen.
- Be enrolled in the Humanities Scholarship and Programme.
- Have strong school results or outstanding GCE O-Level performance.
- Score at least B3 in English Language (or equivalent).
- Have a good co-curricular record.
- Have good conduct and teacher recommendation.
Only Singapore Citizens are eligible. Students cannot hold any other MOE scholarship at the same time (except Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools).
Application Process
For Integrated Program (IP) Students
- Application Period: 13 October – 12 November 2025 (11:59 pm)
- Apply online using SingPass with 2-Factor Authentication
- Create an account with your email and complete the application form
- Submit an essay (500–600 words) on one of these topics:
- A controversial issue in the world today and how you would address it
- A challenge facing Singapore society and how you would address it
Write your essay clearly with strong arguments and analysis (maximum 600 words).
Interviews:
- Shortlisted students will get invites for interviews in late January 2026.
- Final results will come out in February 2026.
For Non-IP Students
- Application opens in January 2026.
- Candidates are picked based on GCE O Level results and school recommendation.
- Interviews held in late March 2026.
- Results announced in April 2026.
