Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the PhD program you must meet certain academic and language requirements. These are the rules you need to follow.

English Language Proficiency
Everyone must prove they are good at English. You can do this one of three ways.

• IELTS Academic test with a score of 6.5
• TOEFL iBT test with a score of 91
  • You must take this at a test center
  • The home edition is not accepted
• EmSAT English test with a score of 1550

Direct PhD Entry
This is for students applying right after their bachelor’s degree without a master’s.

• Your bachelor’s degree must be in a relevant subject
• Your minimum CGPA must be 3.5 out of 4.0
• Your degree must be from an accredited school
• You must take the GRE test
• The home edition is not accepted
• You must take all three sections of the test
• You need a minimum score of 150 on the quantitative part
• You must take the test at a certified center

Standard PhD Entry
This is for students who already have a master’s degree.

• Your bachelor’s degree must be in a relevant subject
• It must be from an accredited school
• It must be from an accredited school
• Your minimum CGPA must be 3.25 out of 4.0
• Your minimum CGPA must be 3.0 out of 4.0
• Your master’s degree must be in a relevant subject
