Scholarship Benefits
- Full medical insurance is provided.
- One round-trip flight ticket is given for arriving to study and leaving after graduation.
- Extra yearly round-trip flights for visiting home are allowed using the rule “program length minus one year” with a maximum of three years.
- No fees for tuition, books, research projects, surveys, English classes or thesis help.
- PhD students get 42000 RMB yearly.
- Masters students get 36000 RMB yearly
- Free housing is offered on the university campus.
- A single payment of 3000 RMB is given to each student when they first come to China.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must not be studying in China or receiving another Chinese government scholarship.
- Must demonstrate potential for career growth and commitment to strengthening China-home country relations.
- Must be a government official (division level or higher) a senior manager at an organization or company or an academic professional at a university or research institution.
- Must hold citizenship in a developing country (excluding China).
- Must not be older than 45 years old when applying.
- Must submit a medical report from a public hospital confirming physical and mental fitness.
- Must not have severe long-term illnesses such as high blood pressure heart disease or diabetes.
- Must not have infectious diseases that threaten public health or have mental health conditions.
- Must not have significant physical disabilities.
- Must not be pregnant.
- Must not have illnesses restricted by Chinese entry-exit health regulations.
- Must show English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80.
- Master’s applicants must have a bachelor’s degree plus at least 3 years of work experience.
- PhD applicants must have a master’s degree.
- Priority is given to applicants with academic or work backgrounds matching their chosen program.

Required Documents
- A valid passport copy.
- A police record document from your local government issued no more than 6 months before applying.
- Copies of your highest education certificate and school grade records.
- Proof of English language proficiency.
- Two recommendation letters – one from your current job supervisor and one from a teacher or academic advisor.
- A study plan or research outline including your resume with education and work background.
- Fill out the online application form on the Campus China website and also submit a printed version.
- A completed medical check form for foreigners.
How to Apply for MOFCOM Scholarship 2026
The MOFCOM Scholarship is given by the Ministry of Commerce of China. It helps students from other countries study in China. Follow these steps to apply.
1. Make an Account on CSC Website
- Go to www.campuschina.org
- Click “Scholarship Application for Students.”
- Press “Create an Account” and then log in.
2. Add Your Personal Info
- Click “Edit Personal Details.”
- Fill in all your information.
- Check it, save it, and then click “Finish.”
- Go back to the main page to continue.
3. Choose Program Category
- Select Type A.
- This is only for MOFCOM Scholarship.
4. Write Agency Number
- Enter 00010.
- The system will show the agency name.
- Both Type A and 00010 must be correct, or your form will not be accepted.
5. Fill Application Form
- Complete Language Proficiency and Study Plan.
- Upload all documents (like certificates, transcripts).
- Check everything before you click Submit.
- When you choose universities, the system will show schools that match your study level, language, and subject.

6. Check and Edit if Needed
- After you submit you cannot change your details.
- If you need to fix something before it is checked then you must click Withdraw, edit, and submit again.
- Once the application is being processed, you cannot withdraw it.
7. Print Your Form
- After you finish, click “Print the Application Form.”
- Save a copy for yourself.
8. Submit to Official Office
- Only apply through the official website: www.campuschina.org.
- Give your printed form and documents to the dispatching authority in your country.
- Remember: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) does not use agents or middlemen.
