Fellowship Benefits

A. Airfare Subsidy

  1. Round-Trip Ticket Reimbursement
    • Fellows will receive reimbursement for one economy-class round-trip ticket (most direct route to Taiwan) based on actual cost.
  2. Subsidy Limits
    • Applicants from Northeast & Southeast Asia: Maximum reimbursement of NTD 35,000.
    • Applicants from other regions: Maximum reimbursement of NTD 60,000.

B. Monthly Research Grant

  1. For Doctoral Degree Holders
    • NTD 60,000 per month.
  2. For Non-Doctoral Applicants
    • NTD 40,000 per month.

Fellowship Duration and Limitations

  1. Duration
    • The fellowship runs for 3 to 6 months, depending on the research needs.
  2. Scheduling Restrictions
    • The fellowship must be completed within a single calendar year.
    • Extensions or deferrals to the following year are not permitted.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet at least one of these conditions:

  • Hold a doctoral degree or be a current doctoral candidate or PhD student.
  • Have a job at a foreign university or college such as:
    • Associate Professor
    • Professor
    • Senior Lecturer
    • Assistant Professor
    • Lecturer
    • or postdoctoral researcher.
  • Work as library staff or researchers at a university or college.
  • If you do not meet the above requirements you can still apply if your institution recommends you and has a signed international academic cooperation agreement with the Library.
  • Your research must be related to one of the specific topics outlined by the Library.
