Applications are open now for the Onsi Sawiris Undergraduate Scholarship 2026. This is a fully funded program for Egyptian students to study a Bachelor’s degree at top universities in the United States like Harvard, Stanford, MIT, University of Chicago or University of Pennsylvania. It pays full tuition monthly living money, health insurance, travel costs and study materials for four years. About the Onsi Sawiris Undergraduate Scholarship

The Sawiris Foundation runs this scholarship to help strong Egyptian students get world-class education. It covers full costs so you can focus on studies. You study in fields that support Egypt’s economy like engineering (civil, environmental, mechanical, chemical, energy, water), economics, finance or management. Computer engineering and computer science are not allowed as main majors but can be minor subjects. You join top US schools and come back to help your country.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who want to apply must meet these basic rules:

• Must be Egyptian citizen and living in Egypt. (Students with two nationalities are less preferred.)
• Must have GPA 3.5 / 90% or equal in high school.
  • Students finishing Grade 11 or Grade 12 before July 31, 2026 can apply.
• Must show English level proof:
  • TOEFL iBT minimum 100, OR
  • IELTS Academic minimum 7.5
    (Test must be valid, within 2 years.)
• Must be active in extracurricular activities (school or outside school).
• Must have SAT score 1450 OR ACT score 32 (taken within last 2 years).
• Must plan to start studying in USA in 2027.
• Must agree to return to Egypt for 2 years after finishing bachelor’s degree.
• Preference for students who did not live outside Egypt or lived abroad less than 2 years.
