United Nations OHCHR Fellowship 2026 (Fully Funded)

The United Nations OHCHR Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded 12-month program in Geneva, Switzerland. The UN opens its applications for young professionals who work with survivors of modern slavery and torture. You join the United Nations Human Rights Office to help evaluate grants, do research, join policy talks and support outreach. It covers monthly stipend, return air ticket and basic health insurance so you can focus on learning. There are two positions one starting 1st August 2026 to 31 July 2027 and another January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2027. Applications close on 15 April 2026. More details are given below.

About the United Nations OHCHR Fellowship

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) runs two funds. One helps victims of torture. The other helps victims of modern slavery. They give grants to groups that support survivors. The fellowship lets you work inside these funds. You learn how the UN evaluates projects, gives money and tracks impact. You join a team in Geneva and see global human rights work up close. It gives you skills and contacts for future jobs in UN NGOs or government.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You need at least two years of work helping survivors of torture or modern slavery.
  • You should have experience in project management or support work.
  • You must speak English well (working level).
  • French or Spanish is good.
  • Arabic, Chinese or Russian is a plus.
  • You can be from any country.
  • Survivors who now help others are strongly encouraged.
  • You must be available for the full time.
