Applications for the DAAD Procope Scholarship Program 2026 are now available in Germany. The Procope scholarship helps researchers from France and Germany work together on joint projects. What is the DAAD Procope Scholarship Program 2026?
The Procope program is a long-running partnership between DAAD in Germany and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It started in 1986 to make research cooperation between the two countries stronger. You work as a team with a French or German partner on a joint research project. It is not for single people or full degrees. It helps you visit each other do experiments and write papers together. Scholarship Benefits
You get targeted support for mobility.

- Daily stipend of about €89 to €150 per day depending on your role.
- Average €6,000 per year for the project.

Eligibility Criteria
- You must be part of a research team with one partner in Germany and one in France.
- You should be connected to a university or approved research institution.
- Companies can join but only with an academic partner.
- It is good for PhD students, postdocs and professors.
- Your project should have strong scientific value and include young researchers.
- It is not for undergraduates or people without a partner institution.
