Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the HEC Need Based Scholarship applicants must:
- Applicants must secure admission according to the institution’s policies and enroll in a 4-5 year undergraduate program.
- Financial support and scholarships are available for undergraduate students in public sector universities and degree-awarding institutions selected by HEC.
- The Institutional Scholarship Award Committee will assess candidates’ financial backgrounds to determine eligibility.
- Current students in financial need at these institutions are also eligible.
- Scholarships will continue for the full duration of the program; students who drop out will be replaced by candidates on the waiting list.
- The number of scholarships is based on the university’s budget for the current year.
- Funding will cover full programs for Medicine, Pharm-D, and other five-year courses.
- All academic disciplines are available, with universities deciding on inclusions based on grants, program costs, and allocated slots.
- Each recipient will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 6000 for the duration of the program.
- Universities may adjust the number of scholarships to ensure coverage of the university fee.

Applicants must complete the application and send it to the financial aid office at your university.
Note: Students admitted on a self-finance basis are not eligible for the HEC Need-Based Scholarship Program.
