Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the HEC Need Based Scholarship applicants must:

• Applicants must secure admission according to the institution’s policies and enroll in a 4-5 year undergraduate program.
• Financial support and scholarships are available for undergraduate students in public sector universities and degree-awarding institutions selected by HEC.
• The Institutional Scholarship Award Committee will assess candidates’ financial backgrounds to determine eligibility.
• Current students in financial need at these institutions are also eligible.
• Scholarships will continue for the full duration of the program; students who drop out will be replaced by candidates on the waiting list.
• The number of scholarships is based on the university’s budget for the current year.
• Funding will cover full programs for Medicine, Pharm-D, and other five-year courses.
• All academic disciplines are available, with universities deciding on inclusions based on grants, program costs, and allocated slots.
• Each recipient will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 6000 for the duration of the program.
• Universities may adjust the number of scholarships to ensure coverage of the university fee.

Note: Students admitted on a self-finance basis are not eligible for the HEC Need-Based Scholarship Program.
